Meet the Founder

Aloha! My name is Kekoa — I’m a 27-year-old husband, father, and the creator of Puanani Collective.

This brand began about a year ago with the inspiration to capture nature’s beauty through the lens of my camera and turn those moments into meaningful apparel that people can wear and connect with.

Born and raised in Hawai‘i, I — like many — often took the islands’ beauty for granted. Now living on the mainland, I’ve been fortunate to find pieces of nature that remind me of home — moments that inspired the creation of this brand. Through design, I’ve found a way to share the beauty of those moments with others.

Puanani means beautiful flower in the Native Hawaiian language.

Collective represents community — a reminder that together, we stay grounded in where we come from and the beauty that surrounds us.

Each flower featured in my designs are captured from nature and transformed into wearable art — created with aloha.

When you wear these pieces, I hope they remind you to stay rooted where you call home and to see the beauty in wherever you are.
